Tathaastu Times Desk, 30 August 2025.
Tathaastu Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting mental wellness and emotional strength, conducted an impactful seminar on “Empowering Minds, Transforming Lives” at Rameesh Institute of Engineering, Greater Noida. The session was specially organized for the first-year Diploma students, who are beginning an important new chapter in their academic and personal journey.
The seminar was led by Dr. Satinder Maken, Founder of Tathaastu Foundation, whose engaging style and thought-provoking insights made the session both memorable and meaningful. She highlighted that mental health is not just about dealing with stress but about developing resilience, clarity, and balance in everyday life. With interactive storytelling and relatable examples, she emphasized that small issues, if left unchecked, often turn into bigger problems, and that timely action is the key to preventing unnecessary stress.

A central theme of the seminar was the importance of being mentally strong. Dr. Maken explained that challenges in academics and personal life are natural, but students must learn to handle them with confidence and patience. She reflected on the concept of freedom, reminding students that while independence is a gift at this age, freedom without responsibility is like a ship without a rudder—directionless and risky. Students were encouraged to use their freedom constructively, making choices that would support their growth and future success.
The discussion also shed light on the role of positive self-talk in shaping confidence and decision-making. Dr. Maken demonstrated how replacing self-doubt with affirmations like “I can handle this” or “Mistakes help me grow” can transform the way students approach challenges. The audience was reminded that our inner voice has the power to either strengthen or weaken us, and by nurturing a healthy mindset, students can take control of their own well-being.
In addition, the seminar guided students through the dos and don’ts of student life, with a focus on the risks of negative habits and the rewards of discipline, self-awareness, and mindful choices. Dr. Maken’s humorous anecdotes and real-life stories kept the audience engaged while driving home serious lessons about the importance of mental wellness.

The session was graced by the presence of Dr. Manish Kumar Bishnoi, Principal of Rameesh Institute of Engineering, who welcomed the initiative and appreciated the efforts of Tathaastu Foundation in nurturing young minds. His support and encouragement added to the spirit of the program, which aimed to equip first-year students with the tools to begin their higher education journey not only with academic enthusiasm but also with emotional strength.
The seminar concluded with an interactive exchange, where many students shared how the session inspired them to think differently about their own mental health. Some reflected on how the concept of responsible freedom would guide their decisions on campus, while others found the positive self-talk exercises a useful tool for handling exam pressure and peer challenges.

This event was part of Tathaastu Foundation’s ongoing initiative to bring mental wellness programs to educational institutions, ensuring that young students are better prepared to handle the demands of academic life and personal growth. By empowering minds, the Foundation continues to transform lives, nurturing a generation that is stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.

Very impressive workshop on a very important issue.
Thank You so Much Dr. Sumita
